Our maintenance courses have been developed in conjunction with The Rack Group Ltd and their renowned pallet racking maintenance programme.

These courses teach the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out basic repairs to your pallet racking systems, leaving you with a competent team that can assess damage to the highest level.

Course Information

Pallet Racking Maintenance (Level 1 - basic maintenance)

Course content:

This covers the most commonly damaged components within a low level (6m or less) racking system and is limited to:

  • Front Uprights
  • Front Beams
  • Low level bracing

Course duration:

This is a one-day course with a mix of both theory and practical elements.

Who will benefit from this course?

This course is ideal for designated employees within your company who are being assigned responsibility for pallet racking maintenance.

What will delegates get from the course?

Participants will gain the skills and knowledge required to carry out basic repairs to your pallet racking systems.

How many people can take this course?

This course can be delivered to a maximum of 2 candidates per course.

Limitations

  • This training is limited to standard APR (wide aisle) pallet racking systems not exceeding 6 metres in height (unless otherwise agreed – see Level 3).
  • To carry out the practical elements of our training courses we require a scissor lift provided by you with access to an isolated area of the warehouse.
  • At least two delegates must hold a valid IPAF licence (Type 3a) or equivalent.
  • Some pallet racking components are required, provided by you to carry out the repairs to identified damage.
  • Access to a training/meeting room will be required with facilities to enable the trainer to project onto a projector screen, blank wall, or TV
  • If any of these conditions cannot be met please contact us as we may be able to assist you in ensuring suitable arrangements are in place for us to provide a safe and enjoyable training experience for those involved.

Training does not cover installation, dismantle or warehouse refits etc; it is aimed at small scale planned/emergency repairs. We accept no responsibility for any unsafe works carried out beyond the limitations outlined in the specific course undertaken.

Pallet Racking Maintenance Course (Level 2 - Advanced Maintenance)

Course content:

This covers the most commonly damaged components within a low level (6m or less) racking system and is extended to include:

  • Front & rear Uprights
  • Front & rear Beams
  • High & low level bracing

Course duration:
This is a one-day course with a mix of both theory and practical elements.

Who will benefit from this course?
This course is ideal for designated employees within your company with responsibility for carrying out small scale planned or emergency pallet racking repairs.

This course also includes two free online courses per delegate:

  • Introduction to Risk Assessment
  • Working at Height

What will delegates get from the course?
Participants will gain the necessary skills and knowledge required to safely carry out basic repairs to the main components within a pallet racking system.

How many people can take this course?
This course can be delivered to a maximum of 2 candidates per course.

Pallet Racking Maintenance Course (Level 3 - Bespoke Maintenance)

Bespoke training specific to your storage systems, delivered on-site and suitable for experienced maintenance teams working on higher-level racking installations (Up to 12m).

 Other System types (eg Drive-In, Push Back, Pallet Live, VNA (without guide rail), Mobile) may be considered but will incur additional charges including but not limited to:

  • a site visit before quoting,
  • provision of an additional scissor lift,
  • an additional trainer
  • creation of site-specific risk assessments and method statements.
